Conference Speaker Profile
After graduating from Taylor University, Heather Larson worked with the American Red Cross assisting in local (Chicago) initiatives and national disasters. It was through these experiences that she began to realize her passion for seeing the church as a major vehicle for sustainable and lasting social change. Soon after, Heather joined the staff at Willow Creek to live out her desire to see a community of believers truly engaged in the needs and issues of our world.
While serving as Willow's Director of Compassion and Justice, Heather helped to develop the church's response to HIV/AIDS and their Africa initiative. More recently, she led the team to open a new Willow Creek Care Center.
Now serving as the Executive Pastor, Heather also provides church-wide leadership with a focus on Compassion & Justice, Kids and Students, Family Initiatives, and Willow's Spanish Service. She believes the greatest change happens by seeing the church truly engaging in our communities and our world.
